***Structure Fire 2/27/17***
Tonight at 1942 hours station 11 was dispatched to a report of a structure fire on Bengal Blvd. Assistant chief 1110 arrived to find a working fire already venting out the roof. Asst. 1110 requested a second alarm for additional resources. Neighbors at first advised command that the house was originally vacant, however several minutes later stated they believe someone has been staying there. Units were were updated and a crew was sent into the residence to preform a search for any possible victims. While crews were inside, there was a report of a partial collapse and command called for a mayday till all members were accounted for. Lucky all members were safe and accounted for and the mayday was terminated. The fire was extinguished after 2015 hours and crews overhauled the fire. The scene was turned over to the state and local fire marshals. Units on scene were Chiefs 1100, 1110, 4700,4710 engine 1131, 1103, 1141, 4731, 4721, 1112 and ladders 1115 and 4725. Fire police 1104, 1114, 1124 and ladies aux 1107. And Waretown 3600 and 3601 covering our town. Thank you to Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 Barnegat First Aid Squad, Inc. Last night at 2348 hours, Station 11 was dispatched to the Settlers landing development for a report of a possible structure fire. Assistant Chief 1110 arrived on scene to find a smoke condition in the area of a multiple family dwelling. While conducting a 360 of the structure, heavy smoke was discovered pushing from the attic eave vent. Assistant Chief 1110 upgraded the assignment to a 2nd alarm dispatching Stafford fire company station 47 to the scene and Waretown fire company station 36 to coverage at our main station. Ladder 1115 arrived on scene, and crews forced entry in to the residence to extinguish the fire and check for any subjects possibly inside. Engine 1141 secured the fire hydrant and supplied Ladder 1115. Rescue-engine 1103 and mini-pumper 1112 responded with man power to assist with searching, venting, and overhaul. The fire was placed extinguished and no subjects were located to be home at the residence. The scene was turned over to the Ocean County Fire Marshals and Barnegat police. Also on scene was Chiefs 1100, 4700, Ladder 4725, Rescue-engine 4731, fire police 1104, and ladies aux 1107. Chief 3600 and Engine 3601 staged at our fire house to cover the town incase of any other emergencies or should the fire be upgraded, to assist at the scene. The Barnegat Fire Company was dispatched to Stations 47's local for a reported residential structure fire at 313 Atlantis in the Ocean Acres section of Stafford Township. Unit’s on location quickly went into service with fire suppression and ventilation operations. BFC Ladder 11-15, Engine 11-41, Engine 11-31 and Chief 1100 were all on location in-service. The fire was placed under control within 30 min of arriving units. Unit’s from Forked River and Eagleswood Fire Companies were on scene, while other Southern Ocean County Unit’s back filled Stafford’s Stations. Great work on scene for all parties involved.

On December 10th 2016 the Barnegat Fire Company was dispatched to 21 Commodore Court for a reported confirmed Working Structure Fire. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department updated responding units that as per Barnegat Police on scene the attacked garage was well involved.
AC-1110 arrived on scene established Incident Command and confirmed a working fire, requested a 2nd alarm be transmitted.
RE-1103 was first due going in-service with fire attack and L-1115 was 2nd due assisting RE-1103’s crew and conducting a primary search. E-1141 and E-1131 were also on scene with E-1131 laying in 800 feet of supply line from the hydrant. Station 47 was request to the scene for RIC and Chief 4700 assisted with Operations. Barnegat EMS was also on scene standing by.
The fire was placed under control in less than 15 minutes of arrival. The fire was investigated by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office. There were no reported injuries on scene. Great job by all parties involved.

The morning of Nov 5th, Station 11 was dispatched with Stafford Station 47 to the report of a possible structure fire in the Beach Haven West section of Stafford. Chiefs 4700 and 4710 along with Barnegat Chief 1100 and Capt. 1130 responded. County advised it was a confirmed fire and reported it was spreading to the house next door. 4700 arrived to find a working fire. Along with Stafford's units Ladder 11-15, Engine 11-31, and fire police 11-14 responded to assist with extinguishment, overhaul, and traffic. Additional companies involved were Surf City Volunteer Fire Company Rescue Engine 4913. Forked River Volunteer Fire Department Engine 6041 and 6004. And Stafford Township Emergency Medical Services. Great work by all involved, the photos below were either reposted from Facebook or sent by on lookers.

Yesterday just before 5pm Eagleswood St. 52 and Parkertown St. 70 were dispatched to a report of a structure fire. Upon commands arrival, heavy fire was met and the command quickly hit out for additional resources. The fire would come to rest as a total of 5 alarms. Pumper-Tanker 1101 was dispatched to assist among with many others. Tanker 1101 did about 7-8 drops of water totaling 21,000-24,000 gallons of water. The man power assisted up at the scene with overhaul and additional manpower to assist original crews.

On Jan 2nd 2016 at 4:25pm, Station 11 was dispatched to a report of a car fire at 945 W. Bay Ave. (WaWa). 1110 Asst. Chief Lilley was first to arrive on scene and reported a working fire. 1131 was first due engine and Firefighters Watts and Hill pulled a 2 1/2" line and quickly suppressed the fire. No injuries were reported. Station 11 was assisted by the Barnegat Police Dept and Squad 11.

The Barnegat Fire Co. ended 2015 with 483 calls.
That averages out to 1.33 calls per day. Our record was
572 calls in 2012.

Three members of the Barnegat Fire Co. Junior Firefighter program recently recieved training at Station 11-1 under the direction of FF's DeSena, Hill & Rizzo.
