Firefighters extricate crash victims

On November 6th at 5:04pm, Station 11 along with Station 48 (Warren Grove Fire Co) were dispatched to a report of a head-on MVA involving 2 cars. Upon arrival, 11-10 confirmed the 2 car H/O with multiple victims entrapped. The accident occurred at West Bay Ave & Old Brookville Rd. Station 11 & 48 heavy rescue units went into action to remove the victims.

Shortly after, Asst Chief Rooney requested two birds to land at 1st St park and for Station 47 to assist 11 with the L/Z. Once the victims were removed they were evaluated by Quality and prepared to fly. Monoc 1 and PennStar 1 were inbound as the patients were being transported to the L/Z. The road was closed pending an investigation by the BTPD Traffic Bureau.
